Classification of pressure vessel manufacturing license levels:
level | Manufacture of Pressure Vessel Range | Representative products |
A | Ultra-high pressure vessels and high pressure vessels ( A1 ); low and medium pressure vessels of the third category ( A2 ); on-site welding resistance or spherical shell plate manufacturing of spherical storage tanks ( A3 ); non-metallic pressure vessels ( A4 ); medical oxygen chambers ( A5 ) | A1 should indicate the structural forms such as single layer, forging welding, multi-layer wrapping, tape wrapping, shrink sleeve, sheet wrapping, seamless, forging, control, etc. |
B | Seamless gas cylinders ( B1 ); welded gas cylinders (B2) ; special gas cylinders (B3) | B2 indicates that it contains (limited to) dissolved acetylene cylinders or liquefied petroleum gas cylinders. B3 indicates electromechanical vehicles, winding, non-refillable, vacuum insulated cryogenic gas cylinders, etc. |

Note: 1. Classification of Class I, Class II and Class III pressure vessels is determined in accordance with the "Pressure Vessel Safety Technical Supervision Regulations".
2. Ultra-high pressure vessel: a pressure vessel with a design pressure greater than or equal to 100MPa ;
High-pressure vessel: a pressure vessel with a design pressure greater than or equal to 10MPa and less than 100MPa ;
Medium pressure vessel: a pressure vessel whose design pressure is greater than or equal to 1.6MPa and less than 10MPa ;
Pressure vessels whose design pressure is greater than or equal to 0.1MPa and less than 1.6MPa .
3. For the pressure vessels designed according to the analysis and design standards, the manufacturing enterprise shall hold a Class A or C license.
4. The spherical shell plate manufacturing project includes various types of heads with a diameter greater than or equal to 1800mm .
5. For a manufacturing enterprise with a single product category, the scope of its license should be restricted, such as restricting products or manufacturing methods, materials, types and uses, etc.
